More than a Meal
Holy Smoke & Fire started with something simple. Cooking has always been how Marcus shows up for people. For years, that looked like feeding whoever was around. Friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, even people he just met. If you were there, you were getting a plate.
During the pandemic, he was part of an outreach ministry focused on meeting people’s basic needs. Food, water, diapers, whatever was needed. That was the first time it really clicked that this was more than just something he enjoyed. It was something that mattered.
That same feeling kept showing up again and again, especially when he was cooking for people.
So instead of keeping it in the backyard, he decided to build something around it.

Marcus’ style is bold, flavor-forward, and built to be felt. The kind of food that wakes up your taste buds and makes you slow down for a second. He pulls inspiration from what he’s tried, what he likes, and what people respond to. Nothing complicated. Just dialed in and done right.
And while the flavors don’t hold back, he’s always listening. Every meal is a chance to get better.
If you’ve ever been in our home, you know the feeling. People walk in as strangers and leave like family. That’s the goal every time.
This isn’t about feeding as many people as possible. It’s about feeding people well, and making sure they feel taken care of when they sit down with a plate.
That’s also why every order includes the option to donate a meal. It’s not an add-on. It’s part of who we are.
This is just the beginning.
One meal at a time.
One table at a time.
The backyard just got better.
At its core, Holy Smoke & Fire is about bringing people together.
